Dear All,
The Orthodox Christian mission in the South Pacifc (Fiji, Tonga and Samoa) is growing steadily under the very close eye and guidance of the spiritual father and leader of these missions, His Eminence Myron Metropolitan of New Zealand, whose canonical spiritual jurisdiction these islands belong to.

As we have mentioned many times before the mission has established: a missionary centre, an orphanage, a safehome for mothers and Churches. It offers social welfare services to the locals and we have been blessed with the ordination of a few local people who serve the faithful in all 3 countries.

However all this is ONLY made possible through the financial support of only a few missionary societies in Greece and America, together with many donations from fundraising efforts conducted in Australia.

The Philoptohos of Prophet Elias Norwood has supported this mission for the last 10 years and has held several fundraisers during this time to support it. We are proud to have amongst our community, people who support the mission on an ongoing basis.

The Feature Film «Hello Orthodox» which is a wonderful movie about the Orthodox Church in the South Pacific will be shown on the projectors and lunch will be served in our Community Centre.

The event will also give all the opportunity to meet, greet and receive the blessings of His Eminence Myron who gladly will share with us all the struggle that His Metropolis has sustaining the ever growing Orthodox Church in the South Pacific.

Help us support the Orthodox Mission of the Holy Metropolitinate of New Zealand in the islands of Fiji, Tonga and Samoa by coming along.
