St Nicholas Parish in Kapiri Mposhi Central Province of Zambia.

With the blessings of Archbishop Ioannis, Rev.Fr. Arsenios and Rev.Fr. Philip went to St Nicholas Parish in Kapiri Mposhi Central Province of Zambia Cerebrated Sunday of Orthodoxy with fervent prayers as we are in the journey of Great Lent . The Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy is celebrated on the first Sunday of Great Lent. It is the celebration of the victory of the iconodules over the iconoclasts by the decision of the Seventh Ecumenical Council. Therefore, the service is to commemorate the restoration of icons for use in services and private devotional life of Christians.On this day we bring icons to church and carry them in Procession to celebrate the restoration of the icons.

Parishioners also were reminded that Great Lent should be full of Repentance , Fasting and prayer.
